Abstract

Special Lagrangians lie at the intersection of Riemannian, complex, and symplectic geometry. With Mu-Tao Wang, we introduce the almost isoclinic region in the oriented Lagrangian Grassmannian and establish a new concavity property for a naturally defined invariant. As a consequence, we prove a Bernstein-type theorem for special Lagrangians whose Gauss maps take values in this region.
