An Introduction to Positivity of Irregular Varieties and Hodge Ideals

Positivity of push-forward of canonical sheaves has various applications in the study of algebraic fiber spaces or varieties of maximal Albanese dimension. In this talk, we are aiming to introduce the recent work of Mustata and Popa, with some review of previous facts.
