On Stability of Ekman Boundary Layer

Abstract
A stationary solution of the Navier-Stokes-Coriolis equations with a boundary condition is called an Ekman boundary layer or Ekman spiral. We consider stability of Ekman boundary layer from an energetic point of view. We prove that for any there exist at least one weak solution of the Ekman system satisfying , and that for small there exist a unique global-in-time strong solution of the Ekman system satisfying . In this talk we introduce stability analysis of Ekman system.
