Generation of Gamma Rhythm Through a Low Dimensional Model
LieJune Shiau (University of Houston-Clear Lake)

Abstract

It is believed that gamma rhythm is related to a range of brain activities including conscious perception. A few neuron models have since been adopted and investigated to induce gamma rhythm in account for these brain tasks in the past decade. Here we focus on a two-dimensional neuron model, and study its intrinsic and network properties in order to generate gamma rhythm. The physiological relevant parameters of this model also provide scientists a more plausible mean to compare with the data observed.
