“Experimental designs” is an important research topic in Statistics. The key idea is to properly plan the experiments such that researchers can obtain the right type of data to answer the research questions. Due to increasing computer power, researchers can implement the computer simulators to emulate a physical system. Then the design and analysis of computer experiments (DACE) becomes a new research problem and is still highly related to the design of experiment. In addition, uncertainty quantification (UQ) is one of the objectives in computer experiments. In this workshop, seven experts are invited to talk about their most recent research results in the related problems and share their research experiences with other researchers and graduate students.
