2015 NCTS Workshop on Subelliptic Operators and Singular Analysis

June 24 - 25, 2015

R202, Astronomy-Mathematics Building, NTU
Organizers:
Der-Chen Chang (Georgetown University)
Shu-Cheng Chang (National Taiwan University)
Mao-Pei Tsui (National Taiwan University)

Research on subelliptic operators including analysis on subRiemannian geometry and structure of heat kernels and fundamental solutions as well as pseudo-differential calculus on singular manifolds are rapidly growing areas of mathematics with numerous applications to theory of partial differential equations, function theory, control theory, mathematical physics and other disciplines.

The main objective of this workshop is to discuss recent results in these areas. We expect the participation in this workshop of many prominent experts from different countries who will present the state-of- the-art in pseudo-differential operators, small time asymptotic of heat kernels, analysis on nilpotent Lie groups, and their applications.

The featured topics are:
  • subRiemannian geometries and spectral analysis of related operators
  • pseudo-differential calculus on singular manifolds
  • singular integrals and their applications to analysis
Graduate students and young researchers are particularly encouraged to participate in this workshop.
