Aim & Scope:

The “2023 Central Taiwan Conference on Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing” will take place on 18-19 February 2023 at Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. This conference includes two 1-hour and nine 50-minute presentations. This conference is held for first time and is expected to be held annually in the future as well. The aim of this annual meeting is to bring together active researchers in central Taiwan from various fields of mathematical modeling and scientific computing, to share their recent experiences, discuss recent progress in this area, and most important of all, to facilitate future research collaborations among them. Besides traditional topics in this field, we also have talks on the recently popular field of deep learning and artificial intelligence.

中部地區數學界向來研討會的活動甚少，今發起首屆『中區數學建模暨科學計算研討會』，希望能夠促進中部地區數學界研究心得交流與成果分享，促成中部地區數學界之間及與外界學者研究上的合作，凝聚中部地區數學界的向心力。本次研討會由中部地區五個學校發起: 逢甲大學、中興大學、彰化師範大學、東海大學、靜宜大學，首屆將由逢甲大學主辦，其他四所學校協辦，後續基本上會由這五個學校輪流主辦，中間若有其他學校加入主辦亦十分歡迎，希望此一中部地區的研討會能夠永續經營下去。
