Aim & Scope

In this activity, Prof. Li will share his experience of career transformation from pure mathematics to engineering, and his works on 數學與科技的對話, 似是而非的概率, 人手與抽象數學的互動, 理工教育與文藝的結合. He is open for questions and would also be happy to mention an ongoing project 「文字改革的字根表草案」with the help of AI.

李碩彥教授1970年畢業於臺大數學系，在通信理論有傑出表現。他發明Network coding theory, Algebraic switching theory, and Martingales of patterns，擁有35項美國專利，並獲四項工研院(ITRI) 優質專利獎。李教授是美國國家AI科學院院士，塞爾維亞國家科學院外籍院士，IEEE Fellow, 及獲諸多榮譽肯定。他致力於數學與科技的對話，近年來嘗試理工教育與文藝的新結合，其《科教文藝》系列叢書包括《似是而非的概率》、《字根表-文字改革》、《數學之窗》。
