Goals of this Workshop:
Nonlinear differential equations have been the subject of a vast number of mathematical studies. The theory of nonlinear differential equations can be employed to describe the phenomena in a wide array of biological process, chemical reactions, and physical systems. For example, the celebrated Hodgkin-Huxley model (1963 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine) is used to explain the ionic mechanism underlying the propagation of action potentials in the squid giant axon; the Belousov–Zhabotinskii system, a classical example in chemical oscillators, has been thought to lead to the establishment of the theory of excitability in chemical physics. On the other hand, recent process in nonlinear phenomena and modeling studies has suggested many challenging mathematical problems which in turn may give rise to a research field of interest.
This two-day conference is a meeting forum for researchers from various aspects in nonlinear differential equations, and is devoted to facilitating scientific exchange of ideas between analytical study, mathematical modeling, and numerical computation, and to initiating new collaborative partnerships.
