Abstract Abstract & Program Download↓
This event, to be held at the National Taiwan University (國立台灣大學) from May 31-June 16, 2017,will touch on various aspects of geometric evolution equations with emphasis on Ricci flow and mean curvature flow.
Introduced by Hamilton about thirty-five years ago, Ricci flow has become an integral and vital part of the geometric analysis. Some of its spectacular successes include the resolution of the Poincare conjecture for three manifolds and the complete classification of quarter pinched Riemannian manifolds. Many other important geometric flows, most notably the mean curvature flow, have been introduced and studied as well. The event will attempt to bring together experts to discuss current development and future directions.
Expository mini-course lectures will be held from May 31 to June 9, covering topics including Gromov-Hausdorff convergence, Kahler geometry,Ricci flow, Kahler Ricci flow, mean curvature flow and Ricci solitons. The third week, June 12 to June 16, is devoted to a workshop. activity will consist of expository mini-courses and lectures introducing various aspects of geometric evolution equations with emphasis in Ricci flow and mean curvature flow. This event will be held at National Taiwan University (國立台灣大學) from May 31-June 16, 2017. The mini-course will be held from May 31 to June 9 and the workshop will be held from June 12 to June 16.
Mini-Course Program (May 31- June 9): R440
Workshop Program (June 12- June 16): R202
