2017 NCTS Summer School on Dynamical Systems: Symbolic Dynamics

(16hours): 7/21(Fri.),7/28(Fri.),8/4(Fri.),8/11(Fri.)
R101, Astronomy-Mathematics Building, NTU

Speaker(s):
Wen-Guei Hu (Sichuan University)

Organizer(s):
Jung-Chao Ban (National Chengchi University)

Outline

The summer school is divided into two parts. First, Professor Wen-Guei Hu will focus on the topics of the symbolic dynamic which includes the entropy theory, specification problems and dynamical zeta functions. Next, Professor Chih-Hung Chang will provide the knowledge of tree-shifts of finite type which include the works of Aubrun-Beal 13, and some recent progress on entropy theory, specification theory and its connection to symbolic dynamic.
