Abstract:
The goal of these lectures is to survey some very recent progress on the Minimal Model Program of foliations on complex projective varieties, focusing in particular on the work started by McQuillan (for foliations of rank one) and Spicer (for foliation of rank two on three-dimensional varieties).
Lecture 1: Introduction. Foliations singularities and an adjunction formula.
Lecture 2: On the bend and break and the cone theorem.
Lecture 3: Existence of flips, special termination, MMP with scaling and some applications.
