2. Course Outline & Descriptions
In this series of lectures we will survey recent breakthrough in uniformity questions in diophantine geometry, focusing on Dimitrov-Gao-Habegger proof of a uniform version of Mordell’s Conjecture (Faltings Theorem). We will give an introduction to Mordell’s conjecture, briefly reviewing its original proof while describing more in detail Vojta’s approach. We will then introduce the main techniques and the ideas behind the Dimitrov-Gao-Habegger results and its connections to recent results and old(er) conjectures.
