1. Introduction & Purposes
Adic spaces are common generalizations of rigid analytic spaces and formal schemes, which are fundamental objects in non-Archimedean geometry. In the past decade, there are a lot of advances in the development of p-adic geometry, and these have become powerful tools for studying arithmetic and the Langlands program. In these three instructional lectures we shall introduce adic spaces.
2. Outline & Descriptions
Adic spaces (1): Formal schemes, rigid analytic spaces, Huber rings.
Adic spaces (2): Rational subsets, adic spaces, pre-adic spaces
Adic spaces (3):Basic examples, adic open disc, analytic points.
