This short course provides an introduction to Drinfeld modules and t-motives. We will start with the theory of Carlitz modules, and then give algebraic and analytic constructions for Drinfeld modules. Basic foundations will be also covered. We then move from the category of Drinfeld modules to the category of Anderson t-motives. Recent t-motivic methods while dealing with transcendence problems will be introduced.
