Program Committee:
Jung-Chao Ban (NCCU), Chun-Hsiung Hsia (NTU), Hsin-Yuan Huang (NYCU), Kung-Chien Wu (NCKU, committee chair).
Description of program:
The study of differential equations is one of the most established areas of mathematics in Taiwan. The NCTS Topical Program on Differential Equations is dedicated to advancing both fundamental theory and interdisciplinary research. The program primarily focuses on partial differential equations and dynamical systems.
Partial differential equations constitute a central mathematical framework in modern science. Researchers in this program investigate both theoretical aspects and a wide range of applications, including synchronization phenomena, kinetic theory, elliptic partial differential equations, fluid dynamics, inverse problems, and reaction–diffusion equations.
Research in dynamical systems encompasses topics such as bifurcation theory and chaotic dynamics, ergodic theory, fractal geometry, arithmetic dynamical systems, and complex dynamical systems.
